Franklin Electric motor control boxes are necessary to operate Franklin Electric 3-wire pump motors. They contain starting capacitors and starting switches. The box needs to be matched to the voltage and horsepower of the pump.

Sizes up to 1 horsepower are the QD (Quick Disconnect) style, and require no wiring changes since all of the circuitry is in the front cover. Larger control boxes will require some wiring skills. Of course all new installations require some wiring.
